Have you ever thought about why some people are successful at changing their diet, losing weight and reversing the onset of type 2 diabetes, yet, there are many more who try and fail? Are you one of those who feel you just can’t follow through and therefore get discouraged and quit before you really give yourself a chance for the cravings to stop. Do you know that after just a few days on a healthy eating plan your body adapts to a new lifestyle and starts looking for the real food it needs to keep you in optimal health – whole grains, berries, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds.

There are so many wonderfully delicious meals and snacks we can create from the vast variety of food nature provides for us and these foods are healthy and heal! Have you ever thought about why so much delicious food grows in nature. What more do we need. There isn’t anything you can’t make using natures bounty: soups, salads, casseroles, muffins, desserts, breads, pancakes, waffles, tacos, burritos, chili, the list is endless – nature doesn’t deprive us and everything is designed to keep us well, operating at our best, feeling full and satiated. When your mother said ‘eat your fruits and vegetables’ she knew what she was talking about.

I feel the reason some people can succeed at changing their lifestyle and others cannot is the successes are people who have a great support team in place. Have you ever started an exercise plan only to fall short and feel disappointed in yourself after a day or two? I’m sure, like so many people, you’ve had days where you say, today is the day – I’m going to start my diet and no longer be overweight, sluggish and feeling sick. I’m going to get up and get moving! I’m cleaning out my cabinets. I’ve eaten my last cookie, my final piece of fried chicken, and, you have every intention of following through. However, as the hours go by and sometimes after a day or two, you can’t follow through and find yourself falling back into your usual routine of a quick fix of unhealthy snacks, sugary soft drinks and highly processed foods. Maybe you lack the support you need to keep moving forward?

What is a support team? Some people have strong family and friend support. There are people who can afford expensive spas where wellness coaches are available to them and their meals are prepared; and, some people are able to afford a gym membership, a personal trainer and a nutritionist. Here at Cheryl Farley Wellness we know this isn’t the case for most people. Not everyone can afford to have a personal wellness coach or head off to a gym or spa. We have put in place a team of wellness coaches who are also nutritionists. Members of this highly skilled team are available to speak with you to help motivate and encourage you. They’ll talk with you about the importance of moving and if you are not in a place to start exercising – they’ll let you know that’s okay today and offer advice on how to get going slowly. Those of you who are too sick to get up off the couch, they’ll direct you to our exercise program designed especially for you. With our mighty minute, five in five and sofa-cise with me, there is an option for everyone.

You’re not alone on this quest for healthy living. Our coaches will give you the support you need to gain confidence to get you through the day without slipping back into poor habits. Remember, with their knowledge, they can tell you what to be eating and what you should have on hand to be successful on this program. They will also discuss with you how your body can heal with proper nutrition and simple lifestyle changes.

Here at Cheryl Farley Wellness we have found a way to bring wellness support to you at home, on your schedule and at a price everyone can afford.

Wishing you the best of health!

Cheryl
